Frequently asked questions

Short answers. Ask us anything we've missed.

What happens when my menu changes?

Verified venues: email the change and it's live within 48 hours, every time. DIY venues can resubmit their spreadsheet any time, or add the $19/mo updates service.

How is this different from Google Business Profile?

GBP menus are shallow and rarely dish-level. We publish every item as structured data with dietary tags and availability, which is what dish-level and AI search actually consume. Keep your GBP — our page feeds it ammunition.

How is this different from Uber Eats or ordering apps?

Ordering platforms rank themselves, not you, and charge commission. Menu Verified is discovery: your own indexed page, no commission, one tap to directions.

Who owns my menu data?

You do. We host and structure it. Ask and we'll export it to you, any time.

Do I need to change my website?

No. Your menu lives at menuverified.com/nz/your-town/your-venue. Link it from your site and socials, and put the QR in your venue.

What does “venue declared” mean on gluten-free tags?

It means the gluten-free claim is yours, stated by you, and labelled that way on the page. We don't certify kitchens and we never sell a coeliac-safety claim — that's a deliberate line, and it protects you as much as us.

What if I'm not in a pilot region?

Enquire anyway. The pilot targets coastal Waikato/Coromandel first, but DIY works anywhere in New Zealand today.

Can I cancel?

Monthly plans cancel any time, no lock-in. Your page comes down; your data goes back to you.
